Holiday Giving
2024 Winter Gift Card Drive
The Parents' Council's annual holiday gift card drive will begin in late November and run through mid-December. Once again, we have a big goal of raising $10,000 in gift cards for families across our school district.
How do I donate?
1) Purchase gift cards Online to have them sent directly to Parents' Council! f you are new to the Parents' Council's gift card drive, you will need a registration code to enroll before purchasing your gift cards. Check your HSA/PTA newsletter or the Parents' Council newsletter for the registration code, or contact Parents' Council directly to request it. If you have used RaiseRight.com to purchase gift cards for other organizations, you will need the Parents' Council's enrollment code to ensure they are directed appropriately. If you have purchased gift cards Online in the past for Parents' Council, there is no need for an enrollment code. You are already registered and ready to go! Purchase gift cards by December 10, 2024 to ensure they arrive in time for a holiday delivery.
2) Purchase gift cards in person! This year, the Parents' Council has partnered with Port Holiday Magic to support our local business community while also serving district families in need. Check out all the participating local retailers offering special promotions throughout the festive season, and consider shopping local.

What types of gift cards are most needed?
All gift cards are welcome and appreciated, but it is always best to keep it local to avoid the need for transportation or costly delivery fees. Families always need necessities (groceries, household and personal items, clothing basics) but also welcome a nice meal, ice cream or gift cards for toys. Our district's students enjoy grabbing quick bites in town with friends, stopping for fun snacks after school, and perusing the aisles of local drugstores.
Gift cards in $25 increments are easiest for distribution, but all amounts are very much welcome and appreciated. Please note that we cannot accept virtual or partially-used gift cards.
How do I get my gift cards to Parents' Council?
If you have a student enrolled in any Port Washington public school, send your gift cards into their main office in an envelope labeled, "Parents' Council Gift Card Drive."
If you prefer to coordinate drop-off or pick-up of your gift cards, please contact The Parents' Council directly. Or, feel free to post cards to The Port Washington Parents' Council (PO Box 575, Port Washington, NY 11050).
All gift cards must be received by December 10, 2024 to ensure holiday delivery.
Thank you for your participation in this important, annual initiative. We look forward to brightening the spirits of district students and families in all seven schools this holiday season!
